Golder Associates has appointed Trevor Silverton as its new UK Manager for Technical Mining Services. Trevor is a senior expert on mine design, geotechnical engineering and technical management.
At Golder, Trevor will further develop the Company’s global mining offering from its London office. Bringing a further 30 years of experience to Golder’s mining team. For the past four years, Trevor has managed technical services at an open pit and underground gold mine in West Africa. Previously, he spent 12 years working with rock engineering in open pit and underground mines in South Africa, and 14 years on project design and feasibility studies in South Africa, South America, Australia and the UK.
Trevor has worked for a range of the world’s biggest mining companies, including Amcoal, De Beers and Anglo American. He has also had a previous six-year spell at Golder in both Australia and the UK, and has published several influential papers on topics including mine design, rock mass characterisation and water management.
