Coromatic, the leading Nordic provider of critical facility solutions, has announced its acquisition of cooling solutions provider, Christian Berg. Through this acquisition, Coromatic expands its presence in Denmark by 40 percent and strengthens expertise and geographical presence.
“Christian Berg’s renowned expertise and strong brand add great value for our operations and existing clients in Denmark,” said Anders Tollsten, CEO, Coromatic Group. “With Christian Berg’s experienced team on board, we further enhance our customer proposition with cooling solutions and related services.”
Coromatic secures mission-critical infrastructure by providing comprehensive solutions within critical facilities and reliable power across the Nordics. Clients are data centres, hospitals, industry plants, headquarters, and other operations that heavily rely on power and network communications for daily operations.
Christian Berg has more than 40 employees; after this acquisition, a total annual turnover of DKK 350 million is expected. This is the second major acquisition Coromatic completes within an 18-month period in Denmark, following the purchase of Atek Teknik in 2013, a specialised provider of emergency power solutions with 60 employees.
“Today’s announcement confirms our commitment to offer the best solutions for critical facilities in Denmark based on deep in-house knowledge,” commented Michael Petersen, Managing Director of Coromatic Denmark. “Furthermore we strengthen our service offering via Christian Berg’s extensive geographic presence in Denmark.”
For Christian Berg, the agreement with Coromatic enables more solid business processes in an increasingly complex market.
“Today, cooling solutions are often part of larger infrastructure projects relating to critical facilities,” added Kenneth Berg, Managing Director of Christian Berg Denmark. “Consequently, specialised companies like ours must rely on strong partnerships to participate in larger bidding processes. Through the agreement with Coromatic, we get better access to these opportunities and can continue to develop our market-leading cooling team.”
